The first player in the world to win 100 international caps for their country, and captaining England 90 times. He was also the captain of Wolverhampton Wanderers during the club’s most successful period to date.
He was awarded a CBE for his services to football and shortly after his death a stand and a statue were erected at Molineux in his honour.
This bobble has been inspired by a true one-club man who led Wolves to victory in the 1949 FA Cup final and to three First Division championship titles in the 50s. This hat is influenced by the kit worn in the FA Cup which Wolves won for the first time. It has an iconic ‘V’ shaped collar which we have incorporated into the hat as well as the retro old gold and black colours commonly associated with Wolves.
